NY Times Writer Charles Blow Believes All Bloggers Lack Original Thought

Late Tuesday night, in what he labeled a “revelation,” New York Times’ visual op-ed columnistCharles M. Blowunleashed a disappointing insult to bloggers, comparing them to karaoke singers. Blow, whose work I admire greatly, and with whom I have publicly engaged, and publicly credited with bringing the civil rights abuses of New York City’s Police Department’s “stop and frisk” outrage to light, truly misunderstands blogging and the thousands of smart, credible, and passionate journalists who have chosen the blogging platform as their niche. Charles Blow owes not only his fellow bloggers at the New York Times — but more importantly, the hardworking and usually low-paid political, independent, professional blogging community — an apology.

whoever got upset about this has a real problem, especially with their own credibility. Here’s my take:

Get over yourselves! who the fuck do you think you are? you use the same terms most of the time and you all kowtow to the loudest establishment voices and rarely speak truth to power. you are afraid to offend and are often patronizing to the oppressors of this country and this world. so you agonize on the truth as told by Charles Blow? grow a set! you’re too stupid to find a more intelligent topic? twitter? really? you’re fighting over a tweet? and worse, it was an observation, not even a critical one.

Love, love Charles Blow. Blow them out of the water. Sick of people trying to stop the the few black men that we have speak up. You people think we are stupid, no we are not. We are aware that Repubs and racist are trying to go all the way back to slavery, rargeting black men, voter suppresion, holding jobs back to make the president look bad, causing the economy to be bad, not wanting black people to have health care and the list goes on. We have got your number and you dont fool us. My people save and manage your money. Do not spend it all for foolishness and thing you dont need. Dont be slaves while you make them rich. Speak up and speak out. Pray and Vote Obama 2012

I agree with Mr. Blow, regardless of his race, but add that bloggers sometimes help spread the word. I do not like to see copies of my writing without my name in the credit area of the blog. Other than that, I am in favror of blogging.

It appears to me that Mr. Blow needs some attention and isn’t getting enough from his professional writing job.
Well, Mr. Blow, how about you take to your blog and post an article about Blowing yourself as it seems this was an attempt to get more attention or traffic to your lowly blog. SAD!
