Guess Who’s Back? Arsenio Hall Returns To Late Night TV

Latenight Legend, Arsenio Hall, Returns to 85% of TV’s in America in 2013

Talk show icon, Arsenio Hall, is coming back to late night TV, according to reports. The talk show host is cleared to appear on 85% of U.S. TV households in Fall 2013 on CBS. Tribune Broadcasting stations are the untitled show’s core launch group.

CBS TV Distribution’s President of Sales , Joe DiSalvo, revealed the wave of excitement for the upcoming show saying, “Most have given the show prime real estate as the lead out from their local late newscasts. They recognize the potential to have the next breakout hit in late night.”

Hall’s return is largely attributed to Tribune Broadcasting’s President of Programming and Entertainment, Sean Compton. ”Tribune’s investment in Arsenio reflects our belief in the success of the show, and we are thrilled our broadcast peers are equally excited,” said Compton.

Hall is most notably known for “The Arsenio Hall Show,” a latenight show that broadcasted from January 1989- May 1994. The show had a huge influence on pop-culture in the early 90′s due to Hall’s alternative to applause: a “Woof, Woof, Woof!” chant, along with a vibrant fist pump.

Congrats ARSENIO ITS ABOUT TIME. The Jewish Media has punished this man enough for having Minister Louis Farrakhan on his show , which in my opinion and the opinion of many others , which led to his show to be taken off the air.

Imagine if Black people stuck together the amount of stregnth & political power we’d have too…. They totally black listed Arsenio & many of us wasnt there for our brother who stood firm for us!…..It seems hard, but I know how to bring about our unity but it all starts with listening….

Arsenio had the coolist show back in the day ,why would he want to go back to a white network to broadcast his show? Its too bad there are,nt any black networks that would support it .

Congrats Arsenio: I used your story in my book as an example as to the reason why they took your first show of the air. It is good to have you back and represent.

Why wouldn’t he go on Magic ohnson’s new channel. Won’t he be family friendly.

I never thought of Arsenio as not being family friendly. I thought he was cancelled because he had Minister Farrakhan on, and the powers that be did not like that.

He should go to Magic Johnson’s network. You are not free to speak your mind if you don’t “own” your own media. The once Black owned media (EBONY, ESSENCE, BET)have sold themselves to Whites for personal gains–not interested in the community, only themselves.

Welcome back Arsenio. I didn’t know the reason why they cancel his show. I thought the rating was poor. I hope he’s not on during the news tim2 11 o’clock. I like his show and he tried to make sure that each night their were some people of color.
How can we demand somethng when we don’t own it and have to rely on someoe else to put it together and if we did we wouldn’t get the support to make it work.

Please use the code word for these people. Welcome back Arsenio. You had the best show and took much money away from the Major Networks. It seems that the money interest gets it wrong every time. Look out for their smear campaign. There is a lot of money on the table. Follow Ophra’s example, produce our own show and don’t let them get close to your money. The Major Networks are still slime.
