The example of a man that is trying to get a woman to sleep with him by reminding the woman that she has slept with other men (on the first date) is an extremely false equivalent. The man is trying to get something from the woman that only she can give him. Gay people want equal rights, which they should have independent of anyone’s religious views. They (gays) are not reminding the black church of their hypocrisy in hopes of getting them to give in; instead, they are reminding them of their hypocrisy to let them know that they cannot pick and choose what they want and then use that to deny equal rights. This is a secular country where atheists and believers deserve to choose their mate regardless of what someone’s magical book tells them about the sky daddy.

@Will< whatever is in/not in the Bible is not really relevant. What is and should be noted is independant decision making of all peoples. When Eve was told "NOT" to eat the apple, she was not "PREVENTED" from eating the apple. Why? Because we were made / given the power of decision makeing each and every individual that is / has been on this planet and beyond. Do any one not believe that God could have stopped her? And, if so why not was she stopped? She and Adam were given the power of decision making how ever good or bad the decisions they made were. Choice, we either have it or we do not, this is the gift that was given mankind and it was ment to be used!!!

@Will< By the way, I am Catholic and I do not begrudge no one the one thing that no one can take from them… The power to make their own decision, what ever that may be.

What this Reverend says here has nothing to do with what the Bible actually says about gay marriage-so in that the title of this article is misleading.
I don’t care what mans’ interpretation says, we know that the Bible says it’s against Gods will as seen in scripture below. I personally don’t care about how people live their sexual lives, but why do they have to work so hard at changing the meaning of marriage for all of us?? We will all find out at the Judgement seat, won’t we?

The Bible clearly teaches no same sex marriage.
    Genesis 19; Judges 19:14
    Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13
    Deuteronomy 23:17; 1 Kings 14:24, 15:12, 22:46; 2 Kings 23:7
Homosexual References in the New Testament

    Romans 1: 26-29
    1 Corinthians 6:9; 1 Timothy 1:9-10, Jude 7

thank you for standing up for truth. people have to stop trying to validate the mindset of the world through the bible. it is not possible. the world and the spiritual realm are in direct conflict with each other. that’s the point of the scriptures: to keep us on a spiritual path. either you accept the bible for what it says or you don’t. but don’t twist the truth to try to fit with the world.

black people beware of those trying to tear you away from the god you have served forever. the deeper issue here is the breakdown of standards and the death of right and wrong so that people’s minds are weak and accepting of anything. when this happens and we stand for nothing we can easily be manipulated.

So GOD put one man & one woman together! Well why did HE have to make two of them, when the world was full of many races… the ones created on the sixth day and placed here, along with all the animals, birds, fishes, etc…? Were there NOT male and female in all those groups, before HE made adam and then eve?

Cause there had to be others here or else that first murderer, old CAIN would not have been able to have found a wife in the land of Nod! And don’t tell me that old Cain waited at home, after murdering Able, for Seth and his kids and grandkids and great grandkids to grow up and move to the land of Nod, so that then OLD Cain could go there and take a wife!

Geez people, read the WORDS!! Correctly!! All the BIBLE is, is a guidebook for that ONE FAMILY (adam’s), and that ONE RACE (the Semitic Hebrew race). Now if you want to take that guidebook and have IT to apply to all the rest of humanity (the 6th. day creation) I guess that is ok, but don’t start out appying IT to every one, until YOU really know what you are talking abt…!!

Even JESUS was sent to the Semitic race, though by that time only the tribe of Judah & Benjamin were left in their land, the other ten having been carried off and scattered all over the steeples of Asia & Europe! Remember JESUS said he came to HIS own, not to the DOGS (gentiles) ie..(the 6th day creation races)!

But I guess IT is GOOD that old St. Paul & Peter and a few of the other 12 decided to go out and spread JESUS’S LOVE MESSAGE to the DOGS(GENTILES) or YOU would have NO RELIGION TODAY, cause the JEWS of JESUS’S time REJECTED HIM<, end of story!!

what you are saying is not totally according to scripture. black people are of semitic descent. we are israelites. jewish people are not. they are descended from shems brother japheth. our true history is one more thing stolen from us by the white man.

also, the bible says it is for the israelites first and then the gentile which includes everyone.we are to be the example for the world.

You forget one thing that is always forgotten-The FLOOD. It covered the entire earth. for a year. Covered the highest mountains. The sinful peoples (which you believe, by way of your rant, is anyone that is not of european descent) were wiped out by that. So are you suggesting that the Bible is lying about that? Is the Bible lying when it says that Miriam was punished when she criticized Moses his Ethiopian/dark-skinned wife, asking why he would be selected to be God’s messenger, rather than someone like her? Her punishment was that she was turned white as snow!
You believe in a failed god. He failed in creation,he failed in destruction; it’s no wonder you need to bomb the crap out of anyone and everyone!

ENOUGH!!! I was always taught to “read with an UNDERSTANDING!” First of all, Adam & Eve were PERFECT! GOD create a Man and a Woman, GENESIS 1:26-28 ~ And GOD went on to say, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness, and let them have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and the domestic animals and all the earth and every moving animal that is moving upon the earth.” (27) And GOD procede to create the man in his image, in GOD’S image he created him; male and female he created them. (28) Further, GOD blessed them and GOD said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill the earth and subdue it, and have in subjection the fish of the sea and the flying creatures of the heavens and every living that is moving upon the earth.” Adam & Eve were perfect, we all understand this – correct? When GOD told them to be fruitful and fill the earth, they went forth after being put out of the garden of Eden. GENESIS 3:23-24 With that Jehovah (GOD) put him out of the garden of Eden to cultivate the ground from which he had been taken. (24) And so he drove the man out and posted at the east of the garden of Eden the cherubs and the flaming blad of a sword that was turning itself continually to guard the way to the tree of life.” So, now Adan & Eve were to live off of the land instead of the garden. Adam & Eve had children whom were very close to perfecton. This is how the world was started with the two of them. Sad as it sounds today, yes, Cain & Able married their sisters! As time went on, the earth was starting to be filled. If you read the first 5 chapters of any Bible, you will be able to read the timeline from Adam through to Noah. There isn’t enough space for me to explain here, however, when you read the Bible or any book, “READ WITH AN UNDERSTANDING”!!! We all are related in some sort of way that goes back to Adam & Eve. No clergy wants to admit this and even back then there were slaves. I doubt if they mistreated them as the American men did, nevertheless, there were slaves! Read the Bible, it truely is the Greatest Story Ever Told!!! And BTW ~ 1 CORINTHIANS 6:9-11 What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit GOD’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, (10)nor thieves, nor greedy persons, no drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionors will inherit GOD’s kigdom. (11) and yet that is what some of you were… God is a forgiving GOD. He wishes for no man or woman to die. Yet he is not to be mocked either! It’s all in the Bible. A great book that if only we would live by it, this world wouldn’t be in the shape it is now!!!

I agree with you. I was not able to access the video of conversation, but I want to say that people keep saying all kinds of things about religious folks being ‘homophobic’ and ‘denying’ gay people equal rights. ???? The Bible does clearly state in the New Testament that homosexuality is an abomination of God. GOD CREATED MARRIAGE, NOT MAN. I believe that gay people pushing hard for gay marriage don’t have respect for God, and that is really scary. I understand that they may have been born that way and it may feel normal to them. But dont they fear God? Although I’ve done it and it is acceptable and encouraged and all the rage today, I would not be insane as to ask priests and ministers to sanction premarital sex as to for example, declare couples that have had sex and want to call each other ‘wifey’ and ‘hubby’ to be ‘married’ because that’s what they want to do. There are rules and regulations in life and mature people understand that; God has rules and regulations too. If you step outside His boundaries although He is plentious in mercy, sometimes there is a penalty for your actions.

I do not agree with gay marriage. I don’t understand why gay people are not pushing for stronger civil unions. It makes no real sense that they want to redefine the definition of marriage.
I mean for real, I have a serious problem with the fact that homosexuals that I see in the media don’t seem to have ANY type of understanding or don’t seem to at all comprehend the religious perspective of people. At the very LEAST, they should indicate that they UNDERSTAND the religious/Biblical viewpoint but don’t agree or subscribe to religion.
I totally disagree with gay marriage but would like to see strong civil unions agreed to by the government, where gay people can access tax breaks that married people do, visit loved ones in the hospital, etc. It is ludicrous that a person be denied seeing their loved one, friend, etc in the hospital, esp when they may be dying. The government is a civil organization and so I think in that respect only (interms of civil unions) that the gov can’t distinguish between adult people as to who should have a relationship with whom.

I must also say very strongly: it’s high time that people who push so hard for traditional marriage also stand as hard against adultry/infidelity and lasciviousness as they do gay marriage. Adultry/infidelity are ruining the definition of marriage faster than any gay marriage law possibly could. Adultry has caused millions of divorces which has led to millions of fatherless homes, single parent homes, destroyed the lives of children from the inside out, spread diseases, and caused confusion because of men (and women, but I definitely blame men more) who have several families at once. Infidelity occurs between people who are not married as well, and now many people are afraid to even get married. Marriage has been downgraded to being “just a piece of paper.”
Also, I must factor in the number of men who have double lives, who sleep with men on the side and bring sickness to their wives. Any way you slice it, wether they sleep with men or women, many wives have been afflicted with diseases that their men have brought home.
The sexual TV programs, movies, commercials, etc that we see on TV need to go. Sex is a natural part of life but now we have TV shows where women are all kissing and sleeping with the same man in order to determine which one he’ll pick for marriage???? Women are taking off their clothes and are in lingerie on commercials and ads?? People curse and say sexually provaocative things EVERWHERE. Society has perpetuated a nation of lustful, oversexed men, women, and teens. Young kids are having sex and doing all kinds of things too. I want to see this addressed immediately. This is the only hypocracy I see going on.
I am also tired of the people who are called ‘pastors’ and ‘reverends’ who are not standing for the Word of God.
Lust and illicit sex is also a MAJOR problem and is destructive to marriages: the sexual slavery is a HUGE problem in the US, where thousands and thousands of young women, many under age and also young shildren, are abducted, and forced to have sex for money for someone else to profit, and theyre raped repeated for the sake of lust and profit.
Men no longer respect women but see them as a cheap source of sexual gratification, and many women, esp young women, no longer respect themselves, but see themselves as sexual objects and money-making instruments.

I want to see esp. the GOP, and everyone highlight THAT situation and fight to end sexual slavery, and speak out against adultry. I know women step out, but we all know that men from all walks of life don’t want to keep their pants on, and they don’t. If marriage was strong in America, and if people upheld the TRUE values of God, decency, and morality, there would NOT be this big issue of gay marriage. Just like the 80′s, gay people fought but were not able to break through religious barriers because most people had respect for God and had some positive moral ideal.

I am not condemming gay people. I love them and see them as human and worthy of love just like everyone else. But to change what God has created to be HOLY matrimony is crazy and very risky. Do they not know about Sodom and Ghomorra??
I love all people, and yes, as much as you may say that I’m biased because of this statement– many of the people close to me are gay and we have been close for years. When the topic has come up I’ve told them that I don’t agree with gay marriage. They didn’t like it, but I’m for real. I love all people and I wish that we could live together in more harmony, without going against God.

I do love everyone, and I pray that we can work together and worship together without going against the one who woke us all u today, The Creator.

Jesus forgave sexual sin when he forgave the woman to be stoned, according to the gospels. Homosexual acts are considered a sexual sin. If he can forgive, why do the rest of you have such a hard time with it? It isn’t for any of you to judge. If you are, then go ahead and agree with the white european christians who claim that we are to be separated by race, twisting Scripture to satisfy their claims. Sodom and Gommorah were not destroyed because of their sexual sin, it was for the way they treated their fellow humans! Read the Bible, don’t rely on another person’s opinion. Most of the ‘preachers’ of today are sexual sinners, and consider themselves ‘men of God’. You don’t need me to remind you of this, and the list of these savages is long. All they’re after is every loose nickle you have in your pockets. They preach of war from the pulpit, even though jesus is supposed to be a prince of peace. Since when does God need any of us to defend him with guns and bombs? You will be known to the world by your actions, and your actions do not reflect the Creator. They reflect hate and greed. You judge even though we are told not to judge.

Did I miss something? The headline says”What the bible really says about gay marriage” yet I did not hear a single scripture. I don’t know this preacher, but I am suspect of any preacher who studies astrology; something the scriptures speaks against. Dr Boyce, as you will hear in the following video, actually says, ‘F@ck the bible’ along with his guest Yvette Carnell who agrees and repeats his suggestion. These statements clearly reflect a hatred of the Father through rejecting his word.I’m reminded of a scripture that says in part…professing themselves to be wise they became fools. To say F@ck the bible, in my opinion, is not only foolish but destrutive to ones own self. I wonder if Dr Boyce and Yvette have studied the scripture that they profane at all? This is truly a wicked day in time when the Father is mocked in such a way.

This whole nonsense is begining to get on my nerve. The bible is of no value to me. Foe example the bible was written by men to be exact forty men in ancient history. Most of the prophet in the old testement were murderers, staring with Moses, Joshua, all the way through. The new testement is about Jesus. And everything that they said that Jesus said, were written 80 to 100 years after Jesus, was crecefied, or murdered which ever way you want to take it.It was just 40 yeard ago that blacks were not allowed to sit in a restaurant and eat a meal, and that form of discremination was justefien in the bible. Slavery were and is still justefied in the bible. If the whites decide to bring back slavery what would you say about that. The reason why many of us disagree with your argument Mr. Watkins, is that you are taking this nonsense too far.I am bot a believer in the bible. This book is what the white European used to indoctrinate black people into believing theJudia Christian Doctrine, which is indoctrination. Black churches need to get over this ediotic foolishness. God did not write the bible, men write it. And black churches is full of pimps. They are pimping you and God. The bible have so much hate in it everything that you read in the bible have more hate than one can comprehend. The western philosopty which preach christianity have a thing call the NUCLEAR BOMB, they are armed to the teeth, and what are those bomb are used for, it is to kill other human being, where is the christianity in that kind of thinking?.
I was not around when Jesus, was on earth, if he was ever here, therefore I cannot support the theory that there was a man name Jesus.
Mr. Watkins, you getting angry abot how white liberaltreat blacks, well blacks never came up with an AGENDA, since Martin Luther King.Well they have been thinking for blacks for a very long time blacks have been following white for a long time that is nothing new.well that is the way it have always been. Can you tell me of any great achievement of blacks that we can follow that is going to get us ahead?. The only thing black people do is run around with it the bible, which some white men wrote and tell that God say them. All you bible following jackass need to get over the issue of who or what other people sleep with. That is their business not your.If black people would use their minds for thinking on their own rather worrying about other. Stop killing each other and begin to think of what causes black people to comtinue murderiing each other all over the world. Most black people says to me that I dont think I am black, that in nonsence. I know I am black, but I do not hang around blacks, because I want to stay alive, and if I hang around black, they would probably want to kill me because I believe is working for what I want and need.I am not going to sit on some street corner trying to rime and make noise. Playing loud music and all the other silly things blacks do in the ghetto.
I have never lived in the ghetto, and I will never live there. I work hard, I do not believe in FREEBEE. When somoene say something is free, I am going in the other direction, because I know that nothing in life is FREE, it is going to cost you one way or the other.Gay people are people’s Children, they are your brothers and sisters, uncle Aunt and parents. They are HUMAN BEING, just like you. So get off their case and take of your own business. I think black Americans are some of the worst black people in the world, because they been living in a nation that cannot help but meddle in other peoples business, so thr black Americans believe they have the same wright to go around JUDGING other people.

. Good day Edward A. Smikle if that’s your real name. Wow! Were do I begin? Who’s juding who here Edward? Your hatred for Christians and for so called Black people is clear, unmistakable.

As a Christian we get criticism from non believers often so I’m not impressed with your tyrannical text. You speak as if everyone who goes to church is a Christian, even some of the people in the pulpits aren’t Christian. Everyone who says they’re a Christian isn’t a Christian either. How simple are you? I guess you think everyone who goes to McDonalds is a hamburger.

Also check your facts-Christians are not the only ones who believe what we do about homosexuality. You need to go scream at Muslims and Jews too, stop singling out Christians.

As far as so called Black people go I think you’ve watched “Bitrh of a Nation” too many times. You say you’re Black. I say what PE said “Every brother ain’t a brother cuz of color”-that’s you. Perhaps we need to call the Drop Squad on you.

You need a real history lesson. So called Black people have not always followed so called White people, that’s just you.

What have so called Black people done? We gave the world; democracy, math, science, cooked food, leather foot wear, dentistry, brain surgery, blood plasma, the zodiac, major religions, the stop light, philosophy (now called Greek philosophy), etc.

As far as working hard our people have worked hard since the beginning of time that’s why no one else could work those plantations like we did-not Indians, not Asians, not so called Whites–no one but us. All of the others that they tried to do the work could not get through the day. Since then many of us have worked more than on job at a time or also had a “hustle” on side to; buy a house, put our children in better schools, send money to help other relatives, build businesses, etc. Are you sure you’re so called Black? Why don’t you know any of this?

You’re probably one of those people who thought the “Cosby Show” wasn’t a realistic about so called Black people or that “Goodtimes” was totally real. Not all of us grew up in a Ghetto. You need to drop the stupid sterotypes. I guess you don’t think so called White people don’t eat watermelon.

OTIS BOYKIN was a Black engineer whose most outstanding invention was the control unit for the pacemaker—the device uses electrical impulses to maintain a steady heartbeat. One of his early inventions was an improved electrical resistor, which is used around the world today in televisions, computers, radios, and an assortment of other electronic devices. His other notable inventions include a variable resistor used in guided missiles and small component thick-film resistors for computers.

ROD-L has received the Consumer Product Safety Award for developing the safest product of its kind and its products are used by the leading manufacturers of electrical and electronics equipment worldwide.

KATHERINE JOHNSON is a Black mathematician heralded by NASA as a pioneer in her field of mathematics and space travel. in the 1960′s she was employed by NASA and she is credited by NASA with doing the mathematical calculations that enabled the astronauts to get to the moon and back. In those days they did not use computers; all of the mathematical calculations were done by women by hand. Katherine Johnson made space maps that would get astronauts to space and back, and that also indicated what stars they would see in space at any particular time.

GEORGE CARRUTHERS is a Black aeronautical and astronautical engineer who gained international recognition when he invented the Far Ultra-Violet Camera and Spectrograph. The camera was the first ever space observatory used on the moon. Carruthers found the proof of molecular hydrogen in interstellar space by using a spectrograph. that was carried to the moon by Apollo 16 astronauts in 1972. The camera was positioned on the moon’s surface and allowed researchers to examine the Earth’s atmosphere for concentrations of pollutants. Previously, scientists did not know that there was hydrogen in space. This invention opened the door to great discoveries in space.

PERCY JULIAN was a world-reknown chemist who discovered a way to create large amounts of synthetic cortisone. Before his discovery only the very wealthy could afford cortisone for arthritis; now synthetic cortisone is so cheap and widespread almost anyone can afford it. He also discovered substitutes for human hormones and was a pioneer in large-scale chemical synthesis of hormones, steroids, progesterone, and testosterone. His discoveries are credited with saving the lives of thousands of unborn children and cancer victims.
Percy Julian also invented aero-foam, which is used to put out gasoline and oil fires and was especially useful during WWII.

DR. SAMUEL KOUNTZ performed the FIRST SUCCESSFUL NON-TWIN KIDNEY TRANSPLANT. Until December 2011, a Black man by the name of James A. Bell was the corporate president, chief financial officer and an executive vice president of The Boeing Company, the world’s largest aerospace company. (go to Boeing’s website and look him up; you can also find him on Forbes).

A Black NASA scientist by the name of O.S. “OZZIE” WILLIAMS nvented HE RADAR BEACON FOR LOCATING DOWNED AIRCRAFT. radar beacon that could locate downed planes and these control systems were used in guiding lunar landing modules during NASA’s Apollo moon landings. Look him up on Frobes, Bloomberg. He’s right there.

White racists, and those who run things don’t want ANYONE of ANY RACE to know the STELLER record of Black achievement or THEIR REIGN IS OVER! They desire to use our talents and greatness to their advantage, but still remain in power. This world will turn upside down when people realize the EXTENt that we, they, everybody has been hoodwinked. Like Hitler turned everyone against the jews using propaganda, only NEGATIVE incidents of Black society are are shoved in everyones’ faces, day and night, 365 days a year.
WE HAVE HEARD EVERYTHING ABOUT STEVE JOBS, YET THIS MAN WAS NOT A TECHIE. THE BLACK INVENTORS I HAVE TALKED ABOUT HERE ARE HIGHLY EDUCATED TECHNICAL PROFESSIONS! When EVER, EVER, EVER have you heard ANY of these scientist inventors and Black executives mentioned??? BLACK PEOPLE DON’T READ???? WE NEED TO STOP SAYING THAT CRAP, just because we may know some Black people who don’t care to read. I am telling you: if you go to Black Executives.com, you will see so many Black execs you won’t know what to do. And if you type in Black mathematicians in the address bar, you will be utterly shocked to see how many Black mathematicians exist, as well as black chemist, engineers, etc. In fact there is a magazine callle Black Engineer. There are many in the US.

Stop listening to “statistics.” In a heartbeat people will try to minimize our greatness and achievemens, “there are ONLY this number of Black execs compared to Whites.” “There are only this number of Black engineers/scientists compared to Whites.” don’t fall for the BULL. If there are more White people than Black in the US, (and please note, I said ‘if’), than why should we have as many scientists or executives or anything as they??
Please look up Black Inventors, Black Executives, etc. MIT has Black inventors on their website. There are many.

Many of the racists who talk bad about us have never even done any real research about Black people. They look up crime statistics and then indict a whole group of people. And watch out for those who try to debunk black inventors/inventions. They’re full of it. Many of the people I have mentioned are still alive, and can speak for themselves, and the scientific/business community know them very well. Look them up right now!! Don’t just Wikipedia them either, okay!

The Black cartoonist who invented Ariel from the Little Mermaid: Dan Haskett; he also invented the character of Belle for Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.
His other works include: The Fox and the Hound, Toy Story, The Prince of Egypt, Sesame Street, Scooby Doo, and commercials for Kellogg’s and Nestle. Haskett has won an Emmy for his work on The Simpsons.

I MUST give a shout-out to DR. JAMES WEST co-inventor of the ELECTRET MICROPHONE. Approximately 90% of microphones in use today are based on this invention. Almost all telephones utilize it, as well as tape recorders, video devices, camcorders, baby monitors and hearing aids.

Your writing skills leave a great deal to be desired as well as your spelling. It always amazes me how people like you who obviously have little to no intelligence & edducation have the nerve and arrogance to get on these blogs and make the kinds of statements that you have, when you can’t even spell or write properly, yet you think you’re better then another person by virtue of the color of your skin. Believer or not, black or white we need to get more wisdom than knowledge from what we think or read in a book and wisdom comes from GOD. The debate is really about sexual preference. The black church has and will always have morals and biblical principles. The priciples change because some of us have gotten a little education and now we think our opinion or thoughts are right. But have we consulted a higher authority the one who created us and the universe (GOD). Sin is sin and we all understand that, but denying how God made me and I am acting something differ is not morally insane. We all wil be judge by what we do in the body that God has prepare to worship him with.Think on these things male and female are oppisite attractions. The idea that we are still using jewish culture to determine our cultural values is ext ordinarily backwards. Who were these people in the bible? What gives them the authority to dictate morality and cultural norms. The great men of the bible were polygamist, murders, sexist, racist, and elitist. Why would anyone use their values as examples for how we should treat people in the modern world. I have a couple of questions. What were the religious beliefs of blacks before we came to this country as slaves. How have we benefitted from centuries of loyalty to the bible?

Blacks of African descent have never been monolithic in their religious beliefs-given the size of the continent, it would be unusual if it were otherwise. However Christianity was in African prior to the slave trade and no doubt had some adherents also.

When THEY failed to do that, GOD said well let ME go down there and “teach” them (MY Chosen people) what I require! Well that did not turn out too well either! They KILLED HIM! or if you believe in more then ONE GOD, his son!

If you don’t believe in the Bible, then rally for a change in the language of the civil document that grants partners certain right. Rally in a way such as remove “marriage” l from the state document and replace it with “civil partnership” and those who believe in the word of God or the Quran can continue to have ceremonies in respective houses of worship!
So those who feel they can keep trying to persuade Christian people, here’s the Quarns take:
Quran mentions homosexuality only in Lut’s story

7:80 “And Lo! ( Remember ) when he said unto his folk : Will ye commit abomination such as no nation ever did before you?”

Let’s look up the term Homophobic.Homo represents a Homosexual and a Homosexual is anyone who has conjugal , sex with someone of the same gender. Based upon this correct definition. Phobic which means to be afraid of or to have an irrational fear of some thing, someone or other thing. So based upon the correct definition of the two terms Homo+phobic, I am not now nor have I ever been afraid of Homosexuals nor do I have an irrational fear of them. I know what they want. They want access to our children’s precious minds , bodies and souls. If you don’t believe me, just Google (1) “THE 1972 GAY RIGHTS PLATFORM” (2) “THE GAY AGENDA” and then (3) “NAMBLA” . After you’ve Googled them, and read them, get back to me with your analysis. In addition, you might want to go and read your Bible. It condemns this behavior vehemently in Leviticus 20:13, Romans 1:27 & 32, 1st Corinthians 6:9, 2nd James 2:10-11 and 1st John 3:3-4.
you might also want to read these books for more information: (1) “Homosexuality And The Effeminization Of Afrikan Males” by Mwalimu K. Bomani Baruti and can be purchasedhttp://www.AkobenHouse.com/ and (2) “War On Horizon: Black Resistance To The white-Sex Assault” by The Irritated Genie Of Soufeese and can be purchased at http://www.waronthehorizon.com/

    Akoben House :: Welcome
Here are just some of the serious dangers of participation in Homosexuality. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is almost universal among Homosexuals. According to the Homosexual newspaper The Washington Blade: “A San Francisco study of Gay and bi-sexual men revealed that HPV infection was almost universal among HIV-positive men and 60% of HIV negative men carried HPV”. It can lead to anal cancer. At a recent Fourth International AIDS Malignancy Conference at The National Institutes of Health, Dr. Andrew Grulich announced that”most instances of anal cancer are caused by a cancer-causing strain of HPV through receptive anal intercourse. HPV infects over 90 % of HPV positive Gay men and 65 % of HIV negative men, according to a number of recent studies”. In addition, there is Gay Bowel Syndrome (GBS). The Journal of The American Medical Association refers to GBS such as proctitis, proctocolitis and enteritis as “sexually transmitted gastrointestinal syndromes”. Many of the bacterial and protozoa pathogens that causes GBS are found in feces and transmitted to the digestive system: According to the pro-Homosexual text, ‘Anal Pleasure and Health’, “sexual activities provide many opportunities for tiny amounts of contaminated feces to find their way into the mouth of a sexual partner… The most direct route is oral-anal contact”. Proctitis and Proctocolitis are inflamation of the rectum and colon that causes pain, bloody rectal discharge and rectal spasms. Proctitis is associated with STD’s such as Gonorrhea, Chlamydia, Herpes and Syphilis. There’s also the problem of severe damage to the rectum and anus muscles, so much so, that in many instances Homosexuals and anyone else who participates in such behavior has to wear/use “Butt Plugs” to prevent leakage of fecal matter, because of a lack of proper closure of the rectum, etc. I have no time for insults or emotional outbursts. I do serious research , so that I can actually know what I’m talking about. I have no emotional attachments to such behavior and can therefore objectively look at its ramifications for our people. Prominent Homosexual author, Urvashi Vaid expressed one of the goals of her fellow activists: “We have an agenda to create a society in which Homosexuality is regraded as healthy, natural and normal. To me that is the most important agenda item”. Debilitating illness, chronic disease, psychological problems, and early death suffered by Homosexuals is the legacy of this tragically misguided activism, which puts the furthering of an agenda above saving the lives of those whose interests they purport to represent. Those who advocate the full acceptance of Homosexual behavior choose to downplay the growing and incontrovertible evidence regarding the serious, life-threatening health effects associated with the Homosexual lifestyle. Homosexual advocacy groups have a moral duty to disseminate medical information that might dissuade individuals from entering or continuing in an inherently unhealthy and dangerous lifestyle. Education officials in particular, have a duty to provide information regarding the negative healthy effects of Homosexuality to students in their charge, whose very lives are put at risk by engaging in such behavior. Above all, civil society itself has an obligation to institute policies that promote the health and well-being of its Citizens.

Here is “THE 1972 GAY RIGHTS PLATFORM”
    The 1972 Gay Rights Platform

In February 1972 the National Coalition of Gay Organizations met at the Armitage Avenue United Methodist Church in Chicago. An invitation had been sent out to 495 homosexual organizations across the U.S. to come and prepare a “gay stance for the 1972 elections.”
About 200 individuals from 18 states representing 85 organizations showed up for the two-day event. Conference participants adopted the 1972 Gay Rights Platform, which included 17 federal and state “demands.”
For over 30 it has been the beacon of the homosexual movement in America.Back in 1972 their demands seemed so outlandish that nobody took them seriously. But gay activists have been extremely focused and relentless in achieving their goals.(Notice the bottom goal on the list.)
It gives an interesting perspective. If someone back then had suggested that we would be discussing this subject today and in the position we’re in, it would not only have been considered unbelievable, it truly would have been beyond the ability of the average person to imagine it.
Amend all federal Civil Rights Acts, other legislation and government controls to prohibit discrimination in employment, housing, public accommodations and public services.

.Issuance by the President of an executive order prohibiting the military from excluding for reasons of their sexual orientation, persons who of their own volition desire entrance into the Armed Services; and from issuing less-than-fully-honorable discharges from homosexuality; and the upgrading to fully honorable all such discharges previously issued, with retroactive benefits.

Issuance by the President of an executive order prohibiting discrimination in the federal civil service because of sexual orientation, in hiring and promoting; and prohibiting discriminations against homosexuals in security clearances.

Elimination of tax inequities victimizing single persons and same-sex couples.

Elimination of bars to the entry, immigration and naturalization of homosexual aliens.

Federal encouragement and support for sex education courses, prepared and taught by Gay women and men, presenting homosexuality as a valid, healthy preference and lifestyle as a viable alternative to heterosexuality.

Appropriate executive orders, regulations and legislation banning the compiling, maintenance and dissemination of information on an individual’s sexual preferences, behavior, and social and political activities for dossiers and data banks.

Federal funding of aid programs of Gay men’s and women’s organizations designed to alleviate the problems encountered by Gay women and men which are engendered by an oppressive sexist society.

Immediate release of all Gay women and men now incarcerated in detention centers, prisons and mental institutions because of sexual offense charges relating to victimless crimes or sexual orientation; and that adequate compensation be made for the physical and mental duress encountered; and that all existing records relating to the incarceration be immediately expunged.
All federal legislation and programs enumerated in Demands 1, 6, 7, 8 and 9 above should be implemented at the State level where applicable.

Repeal of all state laws prohibiting private sexual acts involving consenting persons; equalization for homosexuals and heterosexuals for the enforcement of all laws.

Repeal all state laws prohibiting solicitation for private voluntary sexual liaisons; and laws prohibiting prostitution, both male and female.

Enactment of legislation prohibiting insurance companies and other state-regulated enterprises from discriminating because of sexual orientation, in insurance and in bonding or any other prerequisite to employment or control of one’s personal demesne.

Enactment of legislation so that child custody, adoption, visitation rights, foster parenting, and the like shall not be denied because of sexual orientation or marital status.

Repeal of all laws prohibiting transvestism and cross-dressing.

Repeal of all laws governing the age of sexual consent.

Repeal of all legislative provisions that restrict the sex or number of persons entering into a marriage unit; and the extension of legal benefits to all persons who cohabit regardless of sex or numbers.

“The greatest single victory of the gay movement over the past decade has been to shift the debate from behavior to identity, thus forcing opponents into a position where they can be seen as attacking the civil rights of homosexual citizens.”
From The Homosexualization of America, by homosexual activist Dennis Altman

This was/is plan to get everyone to accept and/or participate in Homosexuality. Now, take a look around you, and you can see that their plan is working quite well. We had better wake up. This is Euro-Asiatic , sexually degenerate, sexually deviant, anti-life, anti-indigenous Afrikan cultural behavior. And quite as it’s kept, we are still an Afrikan people, even though many of us are in serious denial of this fact.

What is all this about the “liberal white establishment forcing blacks to ‘toe the line’”? The real question, which my Pastor as well was unable to answer, is “Why is the Church labeling some unjust and discriminatory passages in the Bible as being “misused”, and others which call for similarly unjust and unfair treatment as “God’s Word”?

The NT passages in Ephesians and Timothy 1, which support slavery, are VERY specific. But our Pastors rightly point out that they ignore Jesus’ over-arching message, which was one of love and respect for your fellow man. Why can’t these Pastors say the same thing about the passages which talk about homosexuality but ignore Jesus’ message of fairness and protecting the weak? Unpopular parts of the Bible are “misused”, while other parts which pander to prejudice and injustice are “God’s Word!”

Then there are the Pastors who say, “I don’t have any problem with gays being allowed to marry, but…” Some of these Pastors remind me of the men who told Dr. MLK, “Of course we want equality, but ‘slow down, just be patient’”! It was a lot easier for them to promise “Pie In The Sky” than to march against Jim Crow and brave the dogs and water hoses, easier to just enjoy the comfortable life that the white establishment rewarded them with for keeping things quiet.

Dr. Watkins: instead of railing against the liberal white establishment for forcing the black church to “explain their hypocrisy”, why not just tell us why you think they are or or not being hypocritical? I’d be a lot more interested in hearing why you “support gay marriage” (you spent all of 10 seconds on it), than why you feel so aggrieved at the white establishment, with no examples given (15 minutes).

Maybe it’s a lot easier to confront whitey for paternalism (no examples given), than to confront the 66% of the black population in the US, who disagree with you, and presumably feel it’s OK for for us to struggle for equality, but it’s not OK for gays and lesbians. I would have hoped that someone such as yourself, who has so often risen to fight the good fight (O’Reilly, & Faux News, etc.), would have put on the mantle of leadership.

I thank God we have a President who has the courage to lead! If President Obama loses the black vote, he will lose the election, but I will always remember the day when he changed from being a good man to being a Great President for all Americans by sticking up for the oppressed, wherever the chips might fall! I thank God we have a President like him!

The scriptures I have read in the new testament have said “servants, obey your masters.” Why does everyone keep saying ‘slaves’?
Those of us who are employed by someone else are all servants, even in the corporate world. No matter what color or race you are we all have to ‘yes sir, no sir, right away sir’ (or ma’am) to our bosses. Jesus said that he who is great over all must be the servant of all. Are you telling me that he meant that we should be slaves? No He meant that we have to be humble and serve people, and that’s also exaclty what He was saying when He washed the Apostles’ feet.
I don’t think that they had many corporate people like we have today, and they certainly did not have the same rights as to taking their grievances to court as we do.

FURTHERMORE, I always think of the fact that God gave a warning in the Bible about people altering “the words of this book.” Isn’t it possible that some things were altered?

Pity you if you don’t know that God is real, but He actually lives in many of us, and that is why we are not moved by public opinion. We KNOW much of what is right and wrong because the Holy Spirit of God moves in us and convicts us and/or reminds us of what is right and wrong in His sight.

I definitely agree with you that it is likely that some things in the Book have been altered. Just what it is that has been altered is, of course, the question. By the way, wouldn’t you agree that a servant who is not paid, who is indentured for life, and whose children may be bought and sold is, in essence a slave? I object to Pastors who cherry pick Bible passages to support their prejudices, and ignore other passages that do not suit them.

The several gays I have known, were just nice people who I later found out were gay. I admit that male homosexual practices are not something that I would ever want to experience, but that’s not what they are asking for: just equal treatment under the law. They are not trying to force your or my church into marrying them, for instance.

The following Bible passage shows that slaves are clearly property to be brought from a foreign land, and bought and sold like livestock.

“However, you may purchase male or female slaves from among the foreigners who live among you. You may also purchase the children of such resident foreigners, including those who have been born in your land. You may treat them as your property, passing them on to your children as a permanent inheritance. You may treat your slaves like this, but the people of Israel, your relatives, must never be treated this way.” (Leviticus 25:44-46 NLT)

What does the Bible say about beating slaves? It says you can beat both male and female slaves with a rod so hard that as long as they don’t die right away you are cleared of any wrong doing.

“When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property.” (Exodus 21:20-21 NAB)

By the way, slavery is still approved of in the New Testament, as the following passages show.
“Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ.” (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)
“Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them.” (1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)

        Thank you for your time.

Why do people who say they believe in the Bible say that Jesus only espoused love. That is over simplifying what he said. Now, what those who say this fail to realize is this: The God of The Bible is very specific about the condemnation of Homosexuality. This is why God wiped two Cities (Sodom and Gomorrah) off of the planet. In addition, even if you do not believe in the Bible, Homosexuality goes against the laws of Nature. All of creation is designed to perpetuate itself. Every species is designed to do this. You cannot perpetuate yourself by having conjugal sexual relations with someone of the same sex. Finally, I wonder why no one has spoken to the detailed information I posted earlier and refuted it with some actual facts, as opposed to their emotions?

So the President expressed a political viewpoint. Now everyone wants to express their theological viewpoint. Isn’t this suppose to be the great democracy of this republic. We have pro-life vs. pro-choice, hell the civil war was fought over the confederate states right to maintain slavery with biblical support. When ones religious ideals dictates the sovereignty of the country then we become a theocracy. Some Christians don’t believe Jesus to be the Son of God much less believe in the Trinity or pray to statues rather than God and yet call themselves Christians. Christmas Santa and Easter rabbit and eggs are pagan rituals entwined with the Christian religion duh.

Question, please enlighten me someone? Are human beings suppose to be more intelligent than the animals? If so, why do animals every year sense they have been created look for a mate of the opposite sex to reproduce themselves, are there now people who want to go against their own nature and put humanity out or existence by not reproducing other humans through the union of the opposite sexes. Is there a book out on the destruction of the human race through same sex marriage. Even a male dog won’t let another male dog mount him. Is the continuation of the human race less important than two individuals feelings. It is said “If you feel no shame do as you please”. No one should try to force others to believe as they believe.

How are you two doing, brother Kenneth and sister Blossom? I see you two are both responding (still) to that fictional character… Mr. Smerkle. Also, to my regret, you are both still getting bent out of shape from his remarks which are ment to inflame and drive a wedge between us as a people where as we start to question what is quite clear logicly. I have not been on site since the Travon posts… Why? Because I was dissapointed in seeing how we kept thinking with our emotions instead of logic. Whenever there is an ant in the sugar you can rest assured the one ant has brought along “FRIENDS”… As I say again, be very careful in who you let into your way of thinking, OK? I’ll be typeing to with you again but in the meantime, keep up the good fight, and just be careful who you share with. (ps) You can not change a fools thinking no matter how hard you try, unless the fool wish to stop being a fool…

@<Mr. Smerkle… Are you the Devil incarnate? You sure do a good job of sowing dissension amongst peoples who are not as yourself.

Com’on people, do you really need to ask? It is inconsistant with nature. God created a man and a woman to procreate.

The world just has no more respect(reverence) for the Creator.

Christ was the God of the Old Testament. He is the only part of the Family of God that mankind ever saw. No one has ever seen The Father from the ranks of men but Christ. He spoke for The Father and what he said was Law. Like the Law of Gravity and the law of thermodynamics the laws in the Bible frame how the universe and we are a part of the universe works. We are just not immortal. Now if God per scripture uses the small to make great one man and one woman was enough to begin the process of populating the planet. With a life span of over 900 years there would have been a tremendous growth in population. Cain would be able to find a wife in Nod descended from Adam.

The real question on trial is not about homosexuality which has ALWAYS been with mankind as long as mankind has existed. It is already a fact that homosexuality is within the whole animal kingdom not just humans because WE are part of the cosmos just like the sun, planets, and anything else that exist within the cosmos. The question really is regarding the True authority of the Bible. Is the bible God’s (who or what is God?) word or is it really some men’s experience of what they perceive as God. Then you have the question of pluralism: i.e., are other religious faiths legitimate or is evangelical/fundamentalist christianity THE ONLY WAY? Are homosexuals in violation of biblical mandates or is science (which was supposedly made by God) a lie.
This one thing I believe: everyone has the right to choose their partner as long as they are of adult age and sane. This theological/cultural question probably will never be answered so we have to look at it from a social justice/civil rights perspective which the bible has much to say thru the Hebrew prophets. Black folk who are adamently against homosexuality need to wake up and smell the coffee, it been here forever and it ain’t going nowhere, I know I used to feel the same way until I realized a family member who was gay and as I began to question his gayness, realized that ever since I dated his sister (who became my wife)he showed tendencies at 4yrs old and reading Rev. Dr. Jeremiah Wright who years ago purported that homosexuality was a matter of genetics not really environment my eyes became open. One final comment if Jesus was here how would he respond to homosexuals?

It is odd for a non-religious person (me) to hear religious people talk about logic and reason when religion has neither.

Religion teaches that there is a man (not a woman, but a man; that should be the first clue something is amiss) living in the sky who watches every thing that you do. How is that ‘logical’?

I’m still baffled as to why ministers and pastors never preach against 2nd marriages which is prohibited in the bible:

Matt. 5:32- But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving (except) for the cause of fornication, causes her to commit adultery: and whosoever marry her that is divorced commits adultery.

Mark 10:11-12 – And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.

Exodus 20:14- Thou shalt not commit adultery

I find it both problematic, hypocritical and grossly negligent. We can’t pick and choose certain people to condemn and wink our eyes at folks who have remarried. Preach the whole truth and not what’s convenient. We are all under God’s grace and mercy whether gay or straight.
